My name is Mrs. Melanie McKenzie, and I am your school counselor here at Martin Luther King Elementary School.  I strive for a comprehensive school program, which means that all students have access to their counselor throughout the year. As the school counselor, I offer a variety of student support services in order to benefit the student's academic, social, and emotional well-being. My services include short-term individual counseling, group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, crisis intervention, and consultation with parents and teachers.
